in Hong Kong free use of our GIS software. She even
works with the local education bureau to co-organise inter-
school cross-curricular project competitions to encourage
students to apply GIS and STEM (science, technology,
engineering, mathematics) in project-based learning.
She is keen to raise the awareness of the community and
the government on how to better prepare for the digital
future by applying geospatial technology. She aims to get
the community to be more conscious in using geography
as a common framework for doing data integration and 023
applying it to deal with issues that affect us all, whether
that be dealing with housing issues or tackling traffic
problems. I’m really proud of her.
Winnie’s recent efforts can be seen in her new book Are
You Future Ready? which is the third of a trilogy.
The first one in her trilogy, Surfing the IT World published
in 2016, is about her startup story and has gained great
